OUR FOUNDER & OUR STORY
A founder’s story.
A family’s promise.
Annie Chong, founder of myKiwi, is a graduate of Massey University in New Zealand. Her experience of living in New Zealand inspired a special connection with the kiwi, which she sees as a symbol of resilience, curiosity and growth.
That inspiration became myKiwi. The word “my” expresses Annie’s promise to care for every child as if they were her own. Together, the name reflects a place where children feel safe, loved and encouraged to discover their potential.

Why the kiwi?
The qualities Annie sees in this little bird inspire the care and encouragement we offer every child.
A “Kiwi can do” spirit.
Annie draws inspiration from the Kiwi spirit of resourcefulness and resilience. For children, this means learning to keep trying, work through challenges and take pride in their progress.
Curiosity and discovery.
The kiwi’s long bill and keen sense of smell help it find food. Annie connects this spirit of exploration with children’s natural curiosity: observing, asking questions and finding out for themselves.
New Zealand roots. Care in Kajang.
The kiwi honours Annie’s connection to New Zealand and gives myKiwi its friendly identity. It represents her wish for every child to feel they belong, grow at their own pace and look ahead with confidence.

At myKiwi, learning continues beyond the classroom. We regularly organise educational trips to Royal Selangor, chocolate factories, the PETRONAS learning centre and more. Children get to observe, explore and ask questions, turning lessons from books into experiences they can connect with.

Yes. Send us a WhatsApp message to arrange a suitable time to see the centre, meet the team and talk about your child’s routine. A visit is a lovely way to get to know us.
How do you approach cleanliness and safety?
Cleanliness and children’s safety are central to how our family runs myKiwi. The centre provides personal hygiene facilities, and we focus on a caring, supervised environment. During your visit, ask us to walk you through our daily routines and arrangements.
Does myKiwi organise educational trips?
Yes. Learning trips are part of our approach to learning beyond books. Children can discover new places, ask questions and connect classroom lessons with real experiences. Please contact us for upcoming destinations and trip arrangements.
What are the fees and operating hours?

Do you provide homework help and school transport?
Yes. Our existing services include homework guidance and transport to and from the centre. Please confirm your child’s school, transport route and required schedule with us.
