Growing minds and nurturing character: myKiwi’s approach since 2025
Good education goes beyond schoolwork. Since 2025, character education has been part of our approach at myKiwi.

At myKiwi Daycare & Tuition in Taman Saga Emas, Kajang, we believe children need opportunities to grow both as learners and as people. Alongside academic learning, we value politeness, responsibility, empathy and gratitude.
We began introducing character education in 2025. Planting these seeds early reflects our commitment to children’s growth: learning knowledge, learning to care and gradually building good everyday habits.
Four values that matter beyond the classroom
Values become meaningful through small actions. These are examples families can practise with children, with patient guidance rather than an expectation of instant perfection.
Respect
Listen when others speak, ask before borrowing and use polite words. Children can learn to disagree without being unkind.
Responsibility
Check learning materials, care for personal belongings and take a manageable task through to completion. When mistakes happen, help children think about how to put things right.
Empathy
Ask how another person might feel. A child can offer help, include a friend or listen when someone is upset.
Gratitude
Notice the people who help us and express thanks. A thoughtful sentence or a small helpful action can make appreciation concrete.
Our monthly character-education themes
The original myKiwi poster below sets out twelve themes. They provide a way to revisit good habits throughout the year; character growth is an ongoing process, not a promise of a particular result.

Small steps families can try at home
Choose one habit at a time and make room for conversation.
- Ask: “Who helped you today, and how could you thank them?”
- Invite your child to tidy one shared space after an activity.
- When a disagreement happens, listen to both sides and discuss a fair next step.
- Recognise specific effort: “You waited for your turn even when it was difficult.”
