MYKIWI CHILDREN · CREATIVITY & ASPIRATIONS
Meet 陈芷睿 from Class 2H: a myKiwi child dreaming of becoming a game developer
Drawing, design, coding and technology can inspire a big dream. Eight-year-old 陈芷睿 from Class 2H shares a hope to create learning games for Malaysian children.
陈芷睿 is part of the myKiwi family. In this presentation, the eight-year-old describes a future ambition: becoming a game developer who brings creative ideas to life through code.
The story below is adapted from the child’s supplied presentation. The learning platform is a future dream, not an existing product or a programme offered by myKiwi.
Why I want to become a game developer
In 陈芷睿’s own story:
Art and technology together
I enjoy drawing, design, coding and technology. I took part in a coding competition and received an art-design award. That helped me discover that creativity and coding can work together.
Games with a purpose
I want to make games that are fun and meaningful, helping children learn as they play.
A Malaysian learning platform
One day, I hope to create a learning-game platform for children in Malaysia, with Chinese, Bahasa Melayu and English. I also want it to help children discover our different cultures.
The skills I want to keep building
I need to work harder on coding, creativity and problem-solving. Although I am only eight, I can learn a little and improve a little every day. I believe that one day I can create games of our own for Malaysia.
Making room for children’s interests
For families, a child’s ambition can be a starting point for conversation. These are optional ideas to explore together:
- Ask your child to draw a game character and explain its story.
- Discuss one thing a game could help another child learn.
- Invite your child to describe how they would solve a small design problem.
- Notice effort and progress, leaving room for interests to change as children grow.
Every dream deserves a listening ear
At myKiwi Daycare & Tuition in Taman Saga Emas, Kajang, we are happy to celebrate our children’s interests and ideas alongside their school journey. Families of primary-school children aged 7–12 can contact us to learn about daycare, homework guidance and tuition, or arrange a centre visit.
My future starts with one line of code!
