School life is about more than lessons and results. A conversation about devices, a shared story or a recycling task can help children practise responsibility and feel connected to the people around them.

At myKiwi in Taman Saga Emas, Kajang, we value that connection between everyday care and learning. Here are public school-community notices for October, followed by ideas parents can use with their children.

Checked on 13 October 2026. All times are Malaysia time. This is a dated parent guide; confirm the latest arrangements with the organiser or your child's school before making plans.

Four small ways to support your child this month

Parents do not need to join every activity. Choose something that fits your child's needs and your family's routine.

  1. Keep revision manageable

Check the teacher's current instructions, then choose one small task at a time. Leave room for meals, rest and a reassuring conversation about what feels difficult.

  2. Talk about device habits

Ask what your child enjoys doing online. Agree on a simple family routine together and let them know they can ask you for help when something feels uncomfortable.

  3. Make space for a story

Read a few pages together or invite your child to retell a favourite story. Listen to their ideas rather than turning every reading moment into a test.

  4. Notice responsibility

Thank your child for packing a bag, sorting paper or remembering a task. Specific encouragement helps them recognise the care they put into everyday actions.

Learning responsibility beyond the textbook

A recycling conversation can begin at home: which materials are clean, which can be reused, and where should they go? Let children help with a small, supervised sorting task. If your family plans to contribute to a school collection, first ask which materials are accepted and how to deliver them. This is a family learning idea, not a confirmed myKiwi or school activity.

A simple checklist for Kajang parents

Before adding a date to the family calendar:

  • Read the latest school or organiser notice, including who may attend.
  • Confirm the venue, time, registration status and any fee.
  • Discuss the plan with your child and leave enough rest time.
  • Tell your daycare provider about any confirmed change to collection or the daily routine.

Keeping school, home and after-school care connected

myKiwi provides primary-school daycare, homework guidance and small-group tuition in Kajang. Parents are welcome to discuss their child's learning needs and share relevant current school instructions with us. We can then talk through suitable care and study arrangements together.

Children grow through the small things we notice, explain and practise together.
