2027 School Calendar: A Guide for Kajang Parents
Plan around Selangor’s 2027 Group B school terms, holidays and festival breaks. A practical guide for Yu Hua and Sungai Chua families in Kajang.

Kajang schools following KPM’s calendar begin the 2027 school year on Monday, 4 January 2027. Selangor follows Group B, the relevant calendar for families at SJK(C) Yu Hua and SJK(C) Sungai Chua.
Use the official calendar to plan leave and childcare, then confirm school-specific arrangements directly with your child’s school.

Additional KPM festival holidays for Selangor
These are extra school holidays, to be read with public holidays and weekends. Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls within the March term break.

May: a longer stretch to plan for
Plan childcare from 15 May, not only from the start of the mid-year break on 22 May. The 15–16 May weekend, Hari Raya Korban on 17 May, KPM’s extra holidays on 18–19 May, Wesak on 20 May and the extra school holiday on 21 May connect to the mid-year break. This is a planning calculation combining the school and public-holiday calendars; it does not establish myKiwi’s operating days.

June: confirm the actual return day
KPM lists the second term as starting on 7 June, but 7 June is the Agong’s Birthday public holiday. Awal Muharam falls on Sunday, 6 June, so applicable replacement-holiday arrangements also need checking. Ask the school for the actual first attendance day after the break; this article does not announce a replacement return date.
