Budget 2027, presented on 9 October 2026, announced Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) of RM200 per eligible pupil for the 2027 school session. This is RM50 more than the previous RM150 amount.

For myKiwi families from SJK(C) Yu Hua and SJK(C) Sungai Chua, the next step is to follow the child’s school announcements. Enrolment at myKiwi alone does not establish BAP eligibility.

Who may qualify?

KPM describes BAP as one-off cash assistance for schooling needs. Its existing guidance includes Malaysian pupils in government and government-aided schools, alongside certain other recognised school categories.

The general KPM page still displays RM150. The RM200 figure comes from the 2027 budget announcement. Older eligibility, application and payment information should not be treated as complete, confirmed 2027 instructions.

2027 collection details not verified

Do parents need to apply, and when is collection?

Portal Manfaat’s 2026 listing describes BAP as requiring no application. That earlier listing does not confirm all procedures for 2027.

As of 23 October 2026, a confirmed 2027 collection date and complete updated implementation instructions were not verified in the sources checked. Ask the school office about eligibility, documents and collection arrangements.

Three details to keep separate

A clear distinction helps families plan realistically.

  1. Announced amount

RM200 is the announced amount for the 2027 session.

  2. Individual eligibility

Your child’s school should confirm whether your child qualifies.

  3. Collection arrangements

Wait for the school’s instructions on dates, documents and attendance.

For Yu Hua and Sungai Chua parents

Keep your parent contact details and pupil information current with the school. If you cannot attend collection, ask whether a representative is permitted and what authorisation is required. No school-specific collection notice is confirmed by this article.

Prepare a practical school-needs list

Check which books, stationery and other essentials your child already has before buying replacements. Discuss the school’s requirements with your child and plan purchases around confirmed information.

Four steps for parents

Use the school’s official communication channel:

  • Watch for the 2027 BAP announcement from your child’s school.
  • Make sure school records contain current parent contact and pupil information.
  • Ask the office about eligibility, collection date, required documents and arrangements.
  • If you cannot attend, ask about an authorised representative before making plans.
