Reports published on 18 October quote JPN Selangor confirming normal school operations on Monday, 19 October, while suspending outdoor activities. Pupils are encouraged to wear masks. Parents keeping children home over health concerns must notify the school.
For SJK(C) Yu Hua and SJK(C) Sungai Chua families, confirm Monday attendance and collection arrangements. Do not automatically extend Friday’s closure plans. The statewide announcement is not a separate notice from either school.

Selangor: confirm Monday attendance
The state announcement applies to schools under JPN Selangor, including the two Kajang primary schools. Individual class instructions and revised assessment dates still need confirmation from the school.

Johor: a different arrangement
Johor extends school closures to 19–23 October, with PdPR continuing. Limited assessment exceptions require JPN Johor coordination. This is not a nationwide closure.

Three confirmations before Monday
Agree on the plan with everyone responsible for your child.
Attendance
Tell the school and care provider whether your child will attend.
Transport
Confirm pickup times and handover arrangements before vehicles leave.
Assessments
Use a replacement timetable only after the school confirms it.
School information and care arrangements are separate
The reopening announcement does not itself establish operating instructions for private daycare or tuition centres. Existing myKiwi families should contact the centre directly about Monday’s arrangements.
