Everyone at myKiwi Learning Centre in Kajang is delighted to celebrate this achievement. To our student: your dedication, regular reading and consistent practice have paid off, and all your teachers are very proud of you.

An award is a special moment, but we also celebrate the effort behind it: opening a book, trying to put an idea into words and returning to a piece of writing to make it clearer. These small steps deserve encouragement too.

The everyday habits behind confident writing

This milestone is a chance to celebrate the habits that help children keep learning, with or without a competition.

  1. Read with curiosity

Stories introduce children to new words, different ideas and ways to describe the world. Talking about a favourite part makes reading an opportunity to share thoughts.

  2. Practise a little, regularly

A few sentences about an interesting day or a favourite story give children a manageable place to begin. Regular practice leaves room to try again.

  3. Take time to revise

Reading a sentence back can help a child notice where an idea needs more detail. A thoughtful change is something to be proud of.

  4. Find a voice of their own

Encourage children to explain what they think and why. Writing is an opportunity to express their own experiences, observations and imagination.

Learning to enjoy Chinese writing

We hope this achievement gives our student even more confidence to keep exploring Chinese writing. The next story does not have to be perfect: what matters is staying curious, practising and finding enjoyment in expressing an idea.

Four simple ways parents can encourage writing

These gentle prompts can make reading and writing part of everyday family time:

  • Let your child choose a suitable Chinese storybook and ask which part they enjoyed most.
  • Talk about a real experience before asking your child to write a few sentences about it.
  • Notice something specific: an interesting description, a clear idea or the effort to improve a sentence.
  • Keep practice manageable and avoid comparing your child’s work or awards with another child’s.

Congratulations — and keep enjoying the journey

To our student: may you continue to enjoy Chinese writing, express yourself confidently and discover what you can achieve through steady effort. We look forward to seeing your ideas grow.

We are proud of your award, and just as proud of the dedication behind it.
